Mr. Pinto da Silva is a graduate of Instituto de Geociencias da UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais) and has over 26 years' experience as a structural and exploration geologist in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico and Nevada.
Career highlights:
Instrumental in the discovery of the San Carlos Deposit (Gencor/Billington,in Ecuador);
- Responsible for reinterpretation of the Cantera Cordoba area at the Las Cristinas Project (Placer Dome, Venezuela) which added 2 Moz gold to the resource;
- Led the structural and resource modeling of the Getchell Deposit (Placer Dome, Nevada) which identified a 14.8 Moz gold resource;
- Provided structural interpretation of Pueblo Viejo Deposit (Barrick, Dominican Republic) and generated a drilling program which delineated an additional 3-5 Moz of gold;
- Involved in the structural modeling of Cerro Casale Project in Chile, and;
- Discovered the Mascota/Creston Colorado deposit of the Pinos Altos project (Agnico-Eagle, Mexico).
Ronaldo is a full-time employee of Rye Patch Gold and works as the Company's Senior Exploration Geologist.
